"Amrai by Café Lota is a relatively recent addition, likely opening around mid-2025. The menu shares several common items with the Pragati Maidan outlet. The food tasted excellent overall. The palak chaat was delicious, but the highlight for me was the Himalayan trout. There is an option to choose between steamed and tawa-fried; I opted for the latter. It was neither over-fried nor heavily marinated, allowing the natural taste of the fish to come through. It is served with generous portions of vegetables, salad, garlic bread, and a sauce. The ambience is pleasant, though the space is not as large as the Pragati Maidan outlet, which is located within museum premises. The staff, particularly Mr. Deepak, were courteous and helpful and shared information about the restaurant. Pricing is reasonable considering the portion sizes and the fine-dining nature of the restaurant. Paid basement parking is available."

"Really enjoyed my time at Amrai. The place has a calm, warm vibe that makes you slow down a bit, and the food feels thoughtfully made rather than rushed. The dishes feel like they have been made with real care, with flavours that are comforting without being boring. The staff is gentle, patient, and kind in a way you dont see often. I walked out feeling lighter and happier. Such a lovely spot. I am already looking forward to my next visit."

"That’s the magic of good culinary design: it invites you to feel before you taste. I ordered this ragi banana pancake at AMRAI by Café Lota, and honestly — it surprised me in the best way. Before you taste it, you just look at it for a moment. There’s this beautiful stack of warm ragi pancakes, layered just right, crowned with a ring of banana cream and a light snow of crisp millet. And right in the center — a burst of fresh pomegranate that almost feels like the chef signed their name on the plate. What I loved was how much intention there was in the composition. The height, the textures, the colors — everything felt like it belonged. It made me curious before it made me hungry. And that’s when food turns into a little piece of art: when it makes you feel something before the first bite. A dessert that’s simple in ingredients, yet refined in imagination. Hats off to the chef — this one tells its own quiet story."

"Visited today for Sandhya Onam festival and trust me guys it was a compete disappointment! Not even a single item on the thali was worthy of its taste. I am very fond of South Indian thalis and have loved them way too much but this was an our disaster. Also, I felt it was overly priced for the food offered. We did order kumauni thalis, which was a one time try and veg meal box that included gatta, okra, shreekandh, which was fairly decent. But amrai, today you were a pure let down. In my past 4 visits I was all praises for you but today was not just your day. In one week visited this place thrice since I visited it for the first time. Recommended it most of my friends in the circle. This place is definitely worth it. Sattu, Parsi akuri, hariyali bhaturi, bajra cheela must try. Aman singh was a great help and provides amazing service. Infact other staff members have been equally welcoming and great in service. First visit: Since this newly opened restaurant is right in our neighborhood, we decided to give it a try for breakfast. Sharp at 8 AM, we arrived to find the place warmly lit and fully ready to serve. The first impression was delightful — the ambience is tastefully done, creating a welcoming vibe. We ordered the Himachali Bhature and Bajra Cheela, and every element on the plate stood out with its own distinct flavor while still blending beautifully together as a meal. It honestly felt like a slice of heaven on a plate. The filter coffee, however, wasn’t as strong as we had expected and didn’t quite match the typical South Indian filter coffee profile — but apart from that, everything was spot on. As a thoughtful touch, they even served us a refreshing welcome drink. Interestingly, their lunch menu is completely different from breakfast, which makes us curious to return and try it out. Highly recommend!"

"Amrai offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully blends authentic flavors with a serene ambiance. Every dish is prepared with attention to detail and bursts with freshness — from the rich, aromatic curries to the perfectly spiced starters and soft, flavorful rotis. The presentation is elegant, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is courteous, and service is quick, adding to the overall charm of the place. A perfect spot to enjoy comforting, traditional food with a modern touch. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great taste and a warm dining vibe!"
